ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
The MP7A1 fires a round that is specifically designed to penetrate body armor. This 4.6×30mm ammunition consists of a hardened steel armor-piercing round with a full metal jacket . Bullet weight is 1.6 gram (25 grains) and the muzzle velocity is 725 m/s (ca. 2400 fps). H & K claims that it will achieve 100% penetration of CRISAT body armor (1.6mm of Titanium plus 20 layers of Kevlar) at a range of 200 meters.

Used by security forces around the world, The MP7A1 essentially operates like a scaled-down assault rifle, with the same action as HK’s G36. It fires a specially designed, armor-piercing round with a high muzzle velocity. This ammunition is made almost entirely of a hardened steel penetrator instead of softer brass or lead – and is designed to ‘tumble’ within the target.
